Our Winter policy: In Nepean Football winter competitions every effort is made to assign a referee to all games, though sometimes this is not possible. If a club has a specific reason for requesting a Referee be appointed to a competition match, they must follow the rules and regulations set down by Nepean Football Association for referee requests. Once a request is received by Nepean Referees Group, our Appointments team will consider the request and all appointments are published via the online system. Referee requests that are made directly to Nepean Referees Group will not be accepted.
Pre-season trials: All pre-season and special event requests should be made via the trial match sanction form which is completed via NFA for all trial matches. Nepean Football Association will be charging the home club for referee match payments (requesting NRG referees for club trial matches) to avoid cash handling. Home club to coordinate with the away club. Referees’ fees are charged according to Football NSW Community Football rates for the applicable season, in full.
School Gala days: Regardless of how many matches are played, if you require referees for school gala days (which means more than one match being played) a fee of $150 per referee will be allocated and payment is to be made to the referee(s) via cash on the day. School or charity organisation: The fee for a standalone match is $70 per referee and $35 per assistant (if available) and payment is to be made to the referee(s) via cash on the day. Please complete the form via the link at the bottom of the page. All referees assigned by Nepean Referees Group are qualified referees.
