18 Green Campaign

Posted on March 26, 2024

The 18 GREEN campaign, which was unveiled at the 2024 season launch, is aimed at raising awareness about the crucial role referees play in the competition of grassroots football with an importance placed on our junior referees who make up almost 50% of the NRG.

It encourages players, coaches, managers and spectators to show RESPECT on a matchday, PROTECT the officials of our game, and RETAIN our referees so football can play on!

As players, coaches, and spectators, it is our collective responsibility to embrace the 18 GREEN initiative and ensure that junior referees are not only recognised for their efforts but also empowered to thrive in their roles on the football field.
